- Order it online. Search your LLC in the New Mexico portal, request the certificate, and download it. Link in the table above.
- Pay the $25 fee. Pay by card at checkout. A small card surcharge usually applies.
- Use it inside the recipient's window. The certificate has no state expiration, but banks and other states usually want one dated within the last 30 to 90 days. Order it close to when you need it.

Important to know about New Mexico
- New Mexico is unusual in that LLCs do NOT file annual reports - a major simplification. Good standing is maintained simply by keeping a registered agent with a physical NM address. There are no recurring state fees after formation.
- The document is officially called "Good Standing and Status Certificate" (GSSC) for LLCs, not "Certificate of Good Standing" - using the wrong term when ordering can create confusion with staff.
- No expedited service is available from the NM Secretary of State. If you need faster turnaround, order online for immediate PDF delivery.
- Mail checks must be payable to "NMPRC" (New Mexico Public Regulation Commission), NOT "Secretary of State" - a common rejection reason.
- The $27 figure seen in some third-party guides reflects a $2 convenience/processing fee added to online orders. The base state fee is $25.
